Louise Jones grew up in Cheshire and attended Liverpool University. She graduated with a degree in Mathematics and Statistics and moved to London, working for the BBC on the radio programme ‘Test Match Special’. She left there to fulfil a life long ambition to travel around the world, documenting her journey whilst on the road. On her return, she re-located to Manchester where she worked as a Performance Analyst within the public library service before turning freelance.
Inspired by her ongoing travels, Louise writes animal adventures, set across the globe, for picture books and 7-11 year olds. She has had magazine articles published, radio scripts broadcast and once won £5 in a children’s writing competition for a story about gremlins.
Louise also enjoys swimming, photography and supporting her local football team.
